Our Commitment to Compliance

We are committed to complying with the NSW Plastic Reduction and Circular Economy Act and associated regulations. As a supplier and/or wholesaler, we take our responsibility seriously to ensure that banned plastic single-use items are not supplied within New South Wales except where a lawful exemption applies.

NSW Plastic Bans

The NSW Government has introduced bans on certain plastic single-use items to reduce environmental harm and support a more sustainable, circular economy.

These bans include restrictions on plastic single-use straws, unless supplied in accordance with a specific exemption.

Plastic Single-Use Straw Exemptions

Under NSW legislation, plastic single-use straws may only be supplied where an applicable exemption applies. These exemptions are intended to ensure accessibility and compliance with disability and health-related needs.

We do not supply plastic single-use straws for general retail or unrestricted use within NSW.

Our Compliance Processes

To ensure compliance with NSW requirements, we have implemented the following measures:

• Plastic single-use straws are supplied within NSW only where an exemption applies
• Customer eligibility is verified prior to supply
• Internal checks are undertaken to ensure products are supplied in accordance with applicable exemption requirements
• Staff are trained on NSW plastic ban obligations and compliance procedures

These processes are regularly reviewed to ensure continued compliance with current legislation.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers ordering plastic single-use straws for supply within NSW are required to ensure that their use and supply of these items complies with the applicable exemption requirements.
